In 2017, the owners began planning to build an ADA-compliant home on the property, recognizing their need for accessible living. The design was carefully planned so that every room on the north side of the house would feature stunning valley and territorial views, with direct access to a deck.
The plans involved removing the existing home, except for the west foundation area, allowing the project to proceed as a remodel and easing building restrictions. However, as the plans were being finalized, changes in family circumstances led the owners to discontinue the project.
The following drawings illustrate those plans, which also included converting the workshop into a two-unit BNB and transforming the smaller storage shed into a sauna and fitness center with breathtaking valley and territorial views.
These plans are being presented as a potential option for future owners to consider.
